How to add Pin Code?
In this video, we’ll tell you how to add a new PIN code in the system when it isn’t already available.
For example, if a customer’s location has a PIN code that isn’t visible in the database here’s how you can add it.
Start by going to Customer. Click on the plus icon on the right-hand side this opens the customer form. When you click on the PIN code field you may notice the customer’s PIN code isn’t listed. Suppose you try entering 332704 and it doesn’t exist in the system. There are two ways to add it.
First, you can directly click on the PIN code field.
Second, go through Settings → Master → General Tab → Demographic.
Under Demographic, you’ll see a hierarchy: Country, Region, State, District, Taluka and City.
To create a new PIN code click on City. You will see columns for City Name, PIN Code, Taluka, District, State and Country.
Click the plus icon again to open a form. Enter the relevant details:
Select the Country (or create one by clicking the plus if it doesn’t exist)
Choose the State, District, and Taluka
Enter the City Name and the PIN code
Then click Save. The data will be added to the database.
Now, whenever you create a new customer this PIN code will appear in the drop down list. Go back to Customer, open the customer form again, fill in the details and enter the newly added PIN code.
This process allows you to add new PIN codes that can later be used for customers, customer branches, or vendor logistics with AntMyERP.
