How to add EPF, ESIC And PT?

In this video, we will show you how to easily set up ESIC, PF, and Professional Tax (PT) for your company, to make payroll management easy and accurate for the department.

To get started, click on the Settings icon on the left-hand side and navigate to the HR Master section. Here, you’ll find multiple modules, including the statutory modules for EPF, ESIC, and PT. These modules can initially be inactive, allowing you to configure them according to your company’s HR policies before activation.

Employee Provident Fund (EPF) can be easily set up by entering your company’s EPF number and specifying the employee and employer contribution rates. The default employee and employer contribution is 12% each, but this can be adjusted according to company policy. You can also add any EPF opening balance and decide how it should appear on the pay slip. Once the details are entered, simply switch the module from inactive to active and save your changes.

For ESIC, enter the company ESIC number, set the contributions for employees and employers, and choose how it will display on the pay slip. HR rules can be applied to activate it or keep it inactive as needed.

Professional Tax (PT) setup allows you to select applicable locations, add the PT number, and define monthly deductions based on salary ranges. For example, no deduction may apply for salaries up to Rs. 21,000, while higher salary ranges have fixed deductions. You can also manually adjust PT deductions for individual employees before activating the module.
