How to Setup Overtime and it’s Process?

In this video, we will show you how to set up and manage employee overtime easily, helping you know exactly how much overtime each employee has worked and ensuring accurate payments.

To get started, go to Settings. Here, you can configure overtime for your organization. Once your ERP is set up and your team is uploaded, overtime can be enabled immediately or later through the Team section. To assign overtime to an employee, go to their profile and click Edit Official Profile. You can then select whether overtime is allowed for this employee.

If your company gives overtime, select Yes; if not, select No. Overtime can be calculated per hour, based on total gross salary or basic salary. For example, you can set Rs. 200 per hour. Once saved, the system will automatically calculate overtime.

For example, if an employee’s office hours are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM but he or she works until 8:00 PM, the system calculates 2 hours of overtime. At Rs. 200 per hour, the overtime amount will be Rs. 400, which is calculated automatically each month.

To check overtime reports, go to HR > Reports > Overtime Report. Here, you will see the employee’s name, code, department, overtime hours, amount, salary month, and salary year.

Once overtime is generated, you can create a voucher for approval.

Click Create Voucher, and a summary will show how much overtime is approved or rejected for each employee. This includes employee name, department, code, overtime amount, and salary year.

With AntMyERP it is easy to track, approve, and pay overtime. You can keep your payroll organized while making sure employees are fairly rewarded for the extra hours they put in.
