How to Track Inventory Movement?
Tracking Inventory Movement with AntMyERP
AntMyERP makes it easy to track inventory movement and identify which items are fast moving, slow moving or non moving. This helps businesses manage their stock efficiently and make informed purchasing decisions.
To begin first go to Inventory on the left-hand menu and click on Reports. Then select Inventory Movement Report. The report displays three categories i.e. Fast Moving, Slow Moving and Non Moving items.
These parameters are set by the company. If a product sells within 0 to 30 days, it’s categorized as Fast Moving. If it sells within 31 to 60 days then it’s Slow Moving. And if it takes more than 61 days then it’s marked as Non-Moving.
If no items appear under Fast Moving, that means no products are selling within the set 30-day period. Under Slow Moving, you’ll find all items sold between 31–60 days, while Non-Moving shows products taking more than 60 days to sell.
This report helps management decide which products to keep in stock. It’s best to maintain a healthy quantity of fast and slow moving items since they sell regularly. Non-moving items, however, should only be purchased when there’s an order as they sell slowly and occupy unnecessary space.
By using the Inventory Movement Report, management can analyze sales patterns, optimize inventory levels, and reduce excess stock.
With AntMyERP, tracking and managing inventory movement becomes simple, efficient and data driven.
