How to create Product Categories?

 

Easily Create Product Categories in AntMyERP

AntMyERP helps you organize products efficiently by assigning each to a specific category. To create a category, you have two simple options. First, type “Product Category” in the control space and select the option that appears. This takes you directly to the Product Category page. Click the plus icon on the right to add a new category.

Alternatively, go to Settings on the left panel then open Master then select CRM Sales. Under this section, click Product Category to reach the same page. Once there, click the plus icon to open the form. Enter the category name, choose Manage By and define how the system should track your products:

• OEM Serial Number – Use when you track items based on the manufacturer’s serial number.
• Without Serial Number – Suitable for small spare parts but note that service calls can’t be logged for these products.
• Company Serial Number – The system automatically generates serial numbers using date and time for tracking.

You can also assign a parent category, mark whether it includes counter sales, and define stock movement categories like fast, slow or non-moving based on how quickly items sell. Add any specifications or default values in text or dropdown format.

Once saved, your category is ready. You can now link products to it, making it easier to track closing stock, monitor different models, and analyze stock reports effortlessly.
